USER SAFETY GUIDE

Your account, your work, you.

How to stay safe with generative AI.

Last updated · 2026-05-03

i.

Securing your account

We use Clerk for authentication. Your password is never stored in our servers in plaintext. To strengthen your account:

  • ·Use a unique password not reused on other sites — a password manager helps
  • ·Enable two-factor authentication (Atelier → Account → Security)
  • ·Sign out of devices you no longer use — Atelier → Active Devices
  • ·Don't share login credentials. We enforce a 2-device limit; sharing leads to constant kick-outs
  • ·If you suspect compromise, change password immediately and revoke all devices
ii.

Recognising phishing & fake sites

We will only contact you from @next-frame.ai email addresses. We will never:

  • ×ask for your password by email or chat
  • ×request payment outside Stripe Checkout (always under checkout.stripe.com)
  • ×send unsolicited “upgrade now” links with urgency tactics

The legitimate domain is the.next-frame.ai. Watch for lookalikes such as next-frame.app, nextframe-ai.com, the-nextframe.ai. When in doubt, type the URL yourself rather than clicking a link.

Suspicious email or site? Forward / report to [email protected].

iii.

Deepfake & likeness awareness

NextFrame can generate synthetic video that resembles real people. Most of the world has new laws about this. Quick rules:

  • ·Don't generate or share a video that depicts a real, identifiable person without their consent
  • ·Don't use a public figure's likeness for advertising, endorsements, or sexual content
  • ·If you publish AI-generated video that could be mistaken for reality, disclose that it is AI-generated
  • ·The EU AI Act (effective Aug 2026), China's Algorithmic Recommendation rules, and several US state laws all require labelling

FOLIO outputs carry a visible “AI GENERATED” watermark in our player and on public share pages. Removing this watermark to disguise the AI nature of an output is a material breach of our Terms.

iv.

Billing safety

All payments flow through Stripe. We never see your full credit-card number. On your bank statement, charges may appear as STRIPE * NEXTFRAME or similar.

  • ·Auto-renewal is disclosed at checkout. We email you 7 days before any annual renewal
  • ·You can cancel any time via Atelier → Billing → Customer Portal
  • ·PAYG point packs are one-off charges; no auto-renewal
  • ·Disputed a charge? Email [email protected] first — we resolve faster than chargebacks
v.

Reporting harm or abuse

If you encounter:

  • ·content that depicts you without consent — email [email protected] with the share URL
  • ·copyright or trademark infringement — see DMCA Notices
  • ·CSAM (child sexual abuse material) — report to CyberTipline AND email us
  • ·imminent threats of violence or self-harm — contact local emergency services first, then us

We respond to safety reports within 24 hours and DMCA / IP notices within 5 business days. For urgent matters mark the email subject URGENT.
